Bug, Dragonfly, Bee, and Butterfly by Vetlanka (available here)
I didn't have the recommended variegated DMC (one of the few "old" variegated DMC I don't have!) so I subbed in a gold that was leftover from an Owlforest kit. Honestly, I like it more than the original since it doesn't have the brown sections. I also changed the white to a pale yellow so it would stand out more on my fabric, and because the color chart shows that symbol in yellow and I like how it looks! :)

I bought this kit a couple of years ago so I'm stitching with the recommended Owlforest threads. I subbed in a different fabric though, because the fabrics in OF kits are stingy with the margins and I don't feel like struggling with that problem yet again.

Unicorn Tapestry by Tiny Modernist
I just LOVE this reimagination of the classic unicorn tapestry! There was a needlepoint of a similar image in my parents' bedroom (two unicorns facing each other on a black background with foliage all around) so I had to have this one. I wish I knew who stitched the one I remember from childhood. I'm guessing it was probably my grandma as she was quite the crafter, but I don't know. Would love to have it for myself, but I'm not in contact with my family, so I'll stitch this one for myself instead.
Kind of a pathetic start on this one, but trust me, it'll get done this year or else! :p
Lovely new starts. I really like the Owl Forest designs. The Lady & the Unicorn is going to be gorgeous. I started a tapestry of one of the designs many years ago, I wonder where it is?
