Please excuse the terrible pictures, she's hot off the qsnap and hasn't been ironed. Not really sure HOW I'm going to iron her with all the bling, especially the larger crystals. I guess I'll figure it out!
She's stitched on Belfast Uplifting Currents from Under the Sea Fabrics. I used most of a FQ because I was paranoid about sizing, but she'd actually fit on a fat eighth with plenty of room. Gotta get another piece of that fabric... it's so pretty. :D
Time for Bluebeard's Princess to get some love! ♥♥♥
She's gorgeous! But holy crap, 4 1/2 hours of beading?! That's why I bead as I go;) Your work is lovely!
ReplyDeleteI've tried beading as I go, but I like to use a relatively small qsnap and I'm afraid I'll damage the beads if I clamp over them. And I'm an idiot and I keep catching my thread on the beads. :D
DeleteShe looks stunning:)
ReplyDeleteThank you! She was SO worth it!
DeleteThis looks stunning!Congrats for your patience!AriadnefromGreece!
ReplyDeleteI swear I'm much more patient than I used to be, thanks to stitching! :)
DeleteIt's worth it she looks amazing, and LOVE the fabric !!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Congrats on splendid bling.......and good luck on the ironing.
ReplyDeleteI'm like you I bead at the end as I keep getting the thread caught on the beads. Did you do 4 and 1/2 hours straight or in several sessions. She looks beautiful and that fabric is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteAlicia xo
Hi Alicia, I did it as one loooong session from 8am to 12:30 :D It only started to feel annoying at the VERY end. I love beading!
DeleteShe's so beautiful! Looking forward to seeing the beading finished and your frame choice.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Your fabric choice really sets off those beads.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I really love the fabric, I'm so tempted to get another piece for a future mermaid!
DeleteShe looks amazing - such stunning colours :) xx
ReplyDeleteShe looks wonderful! x
ReplyDeleteIt is breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I plan on stitching this one myself (my first Nora) when I have all the beads!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Just beautiful :) She's one beautifully blinged out princess :)
ReplyDeleteShe is amazing! I love adding all the beads, it's make for instant sparkle.
ReplyDeleteFor ironing I'd recommend a really thick fluffy towel so the beads sink into it.
I tried this and it worked great! Now she's not all wrinkled. :D
DeleteGorgeous work :D
ReplyDeleteLooking lovely! It's not bad only taking 4.5 hours to do all those beads. There looks a lot :)
ReplyDeleteWow! She looks amazing! Simply gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWOW! She looks fantastic all blinged up (she looked fantastic before bling... but wow with bling!!)
ReplyDeleteI think I would leave all the beading to the end as well - I find beading quite therapeutic and more than happy to do a long session of beading at the end :o)
Good luck with the ironing!!
