As you can see, I finished her head and the streamers off to the right side and started with her body and back fin. There are a LOT more beads to add along that fin, and I'm definitely glad I went with Cashel on this project! There's no way the beads would have fit on Belfast. I haven't had to leave out any beads at all so far, and I'm sure I won't have to, considering how dense the beading is along that back fin!
And a zoomed out shot so you can see just how far there is to go. There's tons of beads in the seaweed as well as the remainder of her body and tail.
It's a good thing I love beading! My favorite part of any project, to be honest...
What a difference! The beads are all stunning and because of their different shapes and sizes add so much more dimension to the project. Can't wait to see more beading (and lots and lots of close-up photos please!) :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel! I'll be sure to take some better photos once I finish, I know these are pretty bad in terms of lighting and such! :D
DeleteI can't wait to see her finished - but I'm enjoying the progress so much it's almost bittersweet. And that's just from a nosy onlooker; I can only imagine how you're feeling! :)
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you! I'm excited to finish too, but I'm trying not to get impatient and try to finish it all in one day. I would explode! :D
DeleteIt's gorgeous! Your beading looks great...I always dread the beading..I'm not good at it...Your doing an awesome job!
ReplyDeleteFantastic! A real transformation!
ReplyDeleteI mean she was already really pretty but now... wow :)
She's looking great! I look forward to when I can start beading on my current project :)
