four and a half hours of beading...

That's how long it takes to bling out Mermaid Azure.

Please excuse the terrible pictures, she's hot off the qsnap and hasn't been ironed. Not really sure HOW I'm going to iron her with all the bling, especially the larger crystals.  I guess I'll figure it out!

She's stitched on Belfast Uplifting Currents from Under the Sea Fabrics.  I used most of a FQ because I was paranoid about sizing, but she'd actually fit on a fat eighth with plenty of room.  Gotta get another piece of that fabric... it's so pretty. :D

Time for Bluebeard's Princess to get some love! ♥♥♥

    1. I've tried beading as I go, but I like to use a relatively small qsnap and I'm afraid I'll damage the beads if I clamp over them. And I'm an idiot and I keep catching my thread on the beads. :D

  5. I'm like you I bead at the end as I keep getting the thread caught on the beads. Did you do 4 and 1/2 hours straight or in several sessions. She looks beautiful and that fabric is fantastic.

    1. Hi Alicia, I did it as one loooong session from 8am to 12:30 :D It only started to feel annoying at the VERY end. I love beading!

  11. She is amazing! I love adding all the beads, it's make for instant sparkle.
For ironing I'd recommend a really thick fluffy towel so the beads sink into it.

  14. WOW! She looks fantastic all blinged up (she looked fantastic before bling... but wow with bling!!)
I think I would leave all the beading to the end as well - I find beading quite therapeutic and more than happy to do a long session of beading at the end :o)
    Good luck with the ironing!!
